The Vision
Like many success stories, the idea to create the first BE@RBRICK entirely out of stone was born from passion and dedication.
At the heart of this pioneering collaboration are Ms. Fox and Mr. B, both avid art collectors, passionate patrons, and Jaan Hofmann, a fifths-generation stonemason.
United by their shared vision and respect for craftsmanship, the trio explored every path to transform the iconic MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICK 1000% into an exceptional stone sculpture while preserving its defining characteristics, including its movable joints.
Together, they merged artistic vision with technical mastery, resulting in a one-of-a-kind creation that bridges traditional stonemasonry and contemporary pop art.
The Craftsmanship
For Ms. Fox and Mr. B, compromise was never an option. They sought a material as rare and uncompromising as the vision itself. Their choice:
Pink Onyx, a stone of striking elegance, glowing with warmth, veined with nature’s own brushstrokes.
Its beauty was unmatched. Its presence, undeniable, but with beauty came the next challenge.
This was no ordinary task. To sculpt an object of playful design from such a formidable stone required not just skill but obsession. For twelve months, Jaan Hofmann and his team entered a realm of intense craftsmanship. Every contour was measured to perfection. Every detail honored the original 1000% BE@RBRICK shape.
The joints had to move not just gracefully, but reliably while carrying the immense weight of solid Onyx. What began as an artistic endeavor became a test of relentless experimentation.
What emerged was not merely a sculpture… it was art.
A creation that captivates and inspires.

The Collaboration
One of the most exciting and at the same time most challenging moments in the project was the presentation of The Onyx BE@RBRICK 1000% to MEDICOM TOY, who until then had only encountered the work through photographs.
During our visit, we were able to convey the precision, dedication, and artistic vision that Marmor Möller invested in crafting such a complex and mesmerizing icon.
The most rewarding moment came when a collaboration for future editions was confirmed, along with the official certification of The Onyx BE@RBRICK 1000% a milestone that marks the beginning of an inspiring creative partnership.
